PLEASE NOTE: THIS TRAINING WILL BE DELIVERED VIA WEBINAR FROM 10AM TO 1PM Our Post Crisis Debriefing training is vital for anybody working in the social or health care area that may have responsibility for supporting staff following an incident.  This training will look at the importance of debriefing following a crisis and the steps to take that will lead to better outcomes for the staff member, the service user and the organisation.  This course will include practical examples and some guidance on the recording of post crisis debriefing.  The training will also include guidance on holding a staff member accountable after an incident.   Duration: 3 hour webinar Certification: Social Care Training Ireland Certificate in Post Crisis Debriefing

  • The Immediate Response following a Crisis.
  • The Debriefing Process.
  • Holding somebody Accountable in a supportive environment.
Learning Outcomes: On completion of the programme, participants should be able to:
  • Identify when staff members require debriefing.
  • Follow the steps in the immediate response process, leaving staff members feeling supported whilst promoting the required recovery for holding somebody accountable at a later time.
  • Implement a debriefing process in their organisation with clear guidelines for debriefing staff to follow.
  • Use the Post Crisis Debriefing process to ensure staff are supported appropriately following a crisis.
  • Hold a staff member accountable for their practice, whilst maintaining a supportive environment.
